Jane’s brother Vincent, as well as Vincent’s family would like to sincerely thank everyone who offered sympathy & support during our recent sad loss.

A special word of thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of both St Michael’s Hospital, Dun Laoghaire and Larchfield Park Nursing Home, Naas, Co. Kildare.

A memorial mass will be held at a later date to celebrate the life of Jane. We will publish details on RIP.ie and in the Independent Newspaper.

As it would be impossible to thank everybody individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.

May Jane Rest in Peace.

Sorry not to be seeing Jane in Dalkey.
For you Dad and all of you guys back home - a note from Dubai which seems so far at this time.

I just wanted to say how blessed Jane was with the extra-ordinary care and attention you all gave her from the beginning of her illness. No time, thought or effort was spared in keeping her truly safe and cared for.

The amount of devotion and attention you each gave Jane was truly remarkable right to the end - and I wanted to say how I was so moved with the "Thomas Family Machine" that unfolded for you to take care of her - and each other.

The visits, the rota - the nursing home visits and calls were truly incredible to watch from afar so I thank my blessings to be part of this family.

Love always

Paula

She was a friend of my great Aunt Essie Bailey. Jane and I always had a chat when we met in Dalkey and she always sent me a Christmas card. I will offer Mass for her eternal soul.
We are truly sorry to hear of Jane’s passing and want to send our deepest condolences to Vincent and family. We knew Jane very well and have very fond memories of times spent chatting with her around Dalkey town. She used to call in to our Mum’s home in Carysfort Villas for a chat, often stopping for a glass of ribena each evening on her way home from the shops.
Rest in Peace Jane

Dear Vincent, Helen, Fiona and the rest of the Thomas family. I was saddened to see that Jane had died, but I just wanted to say how lucky she was to have the family she did in all of you. You spent so much time making sure she had everything she needed, even when she constantly said she didn't. You never gave up on her and were always there to support her in so many different ways, she was truly blessed.
She was a very unique individual and I will always remember her with fondness.
Deepest sympathy to Jane's family at this sad time for you all. May the light of Heaven shine on Jane and may she rest in peace. A kindly gentle lady, always stopped for the chat and regularly asked about my brother Fr. John. I remember Jane walking out in Dalkey with her Mum. They are happily reunited now.
