Very sorry to hear about Jane's passing. My deepest sympathy to her family and friends. I had the enormous privilege of working with Jane in NALA developing literacy interventions online and supporting a TV series. Jane was central to every smart decision that was made at that time and helped shape a truly innovative programme. Her understanding and huge experience of education, of the needs of learners and her tireless campaigning for student-centred effective learning marks Jane out as someone who made a massive contribution to adult education in Ireland. I will always value her input, good humour and infectious passion for learning. She will be missed, but I hope her family will take solace in knowing this remarkable lady left her mark and helped countless thousands of adults navigate a return to education.
