Remembering my beloved sister Jane and our childhood in our large, close knit family inThornaby ; how adventurous she was , going away to work, especially joining the NAAFI and going to Aden (a very scary ace in the 50's.!)
We went on holiday to Spain with friends and shared a flat in Windsor in our 20's. Jane returned to Thornaby and married Peter, l remained and met and married Ian.
Although many miles apart we often had Jane come to stay - lots of chat and laughter, such happy times.
She was the most amazing woman with so many fine qualities .She was a my loyal sister and ,friend, so generous to me, Ian and
our family. A much loved Aunt and Gt. Aunt and greatly missed by us all..
You have certainly earned your wings Jane, rest in peace now.

Aunt Jane was a kind, warm, lovely lady, i’m only sorry i never had the pleasure of meeting her in person. I know James holds some very fond memories of her when he was growing up. She will be greatly missed.

Such a sad loss of my dear friend Jane who has been like a second mother to me for the last 38 years and adopted grandmother to my children whom we all loved and will miss dearly.
