So sad to hear of the passing of my godmother Jan. You were always so kind to me, both when you lived in Tasmania and when you visited me in Melbourne. I recall spending time in Tasmania with you and Douglas when I was a teenager and being taken to see the Cadbury chocolate factory in operation – every kid’s dream! May you rest in peace with your beloved husband Douglas.
I was so sad to learn of Jan's passing. She and I have been firm friends for many years. We first met in l955 when we were both sailing to England on board the "Stratheden" and have remained good friends. I visited Jan and Douglas in Galway and she visited me in Brisbane. She was, in fact, the Godmother of my daughter, Claire. I will sorely miss her - Rest in Peace, Jan - God Bless.

We cherish fond memories of good times in the company of, and sharing the hospitality of, Douglas and Jan. Our biggest regret is that that current circumstances prevent us being there in in person in Rahoon on Thursday. However, we will certainly be there in spirit.
