On a personal note, I would like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to my friend Janice.
Friends since childhood, I have never met a braver person. She battled and endured one challenge after another with such amazing grace and fortitude. Never complaining, always strong, courageous, and resilient. A true inspiration to her daughter Amy, her family, and many friends.
Janice was an extraordinary woman with a huge capacity to love. She was uniquely equipped with the rare gift of making one feel that they were the most important person in the room. Fiercely loyal, exceptionally kind, and generous, and full of wisdom. Being a real foodie, she relished welcoming people into her home to enjoy her wonderful culinary delights, together with her humour and sharp wit, these gatherings were always a tonic.
Her loss is simply immeasurable, her memory forever indelibly etched in our hearts.
I was blessed with the privilege to be able to call Janice my friend and to know that her faith was her bedrock in this life. It gives me some comfort to know that this remarkable woman is now resting peacefully in the arms of Jesus.
Rest in Peace my dearest friend.
