working together in AIB St Martins House in the early 70s to meeting up Lillies and in last few years on Instagram she was an absolute delight to be around . Jean R.I.P.

So sorry to hear of Jeans passing, we met in 1987 through mutual friends who brought me out one night and she was the most kind, generous and considerate person you could meet. Jean, you left an indelible memory on everyone who you looked after, may you rest in peace.

Sending Judy, family & friends, Robert & Lillies colleagues my deepest condolences. Jean was a beautiful, kind & caring woman that looked after us all so well she was like our mum. To hear she passed away on my birthday I’ll never forget & will always raise a glass to her.

I was so sad to hear the news of your mum's passing. Jean was one in a million and she always had a cheeky smile and a warm welcome for everyone and treated everyone the same and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. My deepest condolences to you, all the family and to all of Jean's many friends especially her great pal Robert. Sincere condolences Judy and all Jean’s family. Jean was one of the funniest caring women I ever met, she was like the mother you always wanted, she minded us, always kind and always the craic!

She welcomed me into ‘her bar’ with open arms accompanied by music friends, a celebrity or not!

When guests wanted a table on the main floor to dance, I always brought them upstairs to visit Jean during the night. One of my favourite memories is of her slapping Enrique Iglesias across the shoulder (he was resting the toe of his shoe on a stool, really he was just tall!) saying “where do you think you are, you wouldn’t do that in your mothers house!”

The heartfelt messages here and elsewhere demonstrate how much Jean was loved by so many. An apparently brusque exterior, that could immediately humble anyone foolish enough to affect superiority, served to only lightly conceal a huge heart and a wicked sense of humour. You'll be missed Jean.

I was so saddened to hear the news of Jean’s passing. My heartfelt condolences to you and the family at this most difficult of times. She was a great friend, always so kind and selfless.
She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

I think when you met Jean, she assigned you a seat in her heart.. the mock scoldings, reprimands, and slaps carried the soul of someone who couldn't fake it. Fridays and Saturdays weren't complete without her touching the evening in some way.. what a lovely, wonderful woman. Condolences to all

I am so sorry to hear about Jeans passing. It’s so hard to believe. She was one of the best people I’ve ever met. She always had time for me and me for her. We always had great fun and her generosity and hospitality was the best I’ve ever experienced in the whole wide world. My condolences to Judy and all the family on the passing of Jean. I have many fond memories of Jean over the years. On numerous occasions when people tried to introduce us to one another she would respond with her usual wit, “do I know Des McEvaddy, I’ve been welcoming him into nightclubs since he was just out of short trousers”. She was a unique and wonderful lady. Rest in Peace Jean.

I was so shocked and sad to read about the death of Jean.
My sincere sympathy to Judy, her siblings Conor, Judy, Dorothy, Catherine and her very great friend Robert. My condolences also to her extended family.
I have great memories of Jean when we worked together in AIB Waterloo road. The lunches every pay day in Searsons or the small Greek restaurant opposite the bank.
We had some great laughs. I remember a customer telling us of a near pile up in Leeson St as the motorists were watching a girl with'legs up to her arm pits' and it turned out to be Jean.
Time passes so quickly. Jean gone to soon. Great memories of a girl with a warm personality,a great sense of humour, and an inborn kindness.
Jean was always a night owl, even during her banking days. No doubt she will be raising the roof and sorting out the seats up above.
Rest easy and in Peace Jean.
