Jean and I go back a long way , to our teens, we didn’t see or speak to each other often but we could pick up each time as if we only spoke the day before. She was a lovely person in every way and a treasured friend to me. My deepest sympathies to Godfrey, Nicky, Sharon, and Rachel, in their very sad loss. I have lost my dear friend.

Jean made my heart lift everytime I met her. Legend is an overused word but Jean Dey stories will outlive all of us. Her kindness, humour,beauty and caustic wit will keep me smiling .

So sorry to hear of Jean's death. We got to know Jean while she was walking in St Enda's Park with Maureen, Ger and Colette over the last couple of years. She was a lovely kind and funny lady, we will miss her.

Godfrey and family, we are so sorry to learn of the passing of the amazing Jean.
Our paths crossed for a brief time in St. Vincents hospital.
Jean and our mum (Roisin Hickey) shared the same ward.
Jean was an amazing, funny, compassionate caring friend to mum.
We shared some great laughs and smiles together.
We had the comfort of knowing Jean was there to keep an eye on mum!
We will be eternally greatful to this fantastic lady.
We will laugh, smile and remember her in the future.
