Jean was an exceptionally gifted and talented speech and drama teacher and will be fondly remembered by both staff and students in Presentation Wexford. She was a lovely lady with a personality and sense of style that brought colour to all our lives both on and off the stage.

Sincerest sympathy to all Jean's family on her death. Jean was an extremely gifted speech and drama teacher and we have such happy and fond memories of her time on the staff in Presentation Secondary School. It is lovely to read so many expressions of love and gratitude by so many of her colleagues and past pupils .

Jean was an inspirational lady. I first met her when the CBS and The Pres came together to put on some musicals in the eighties. The lads were so impressed by her enthusiasm and her commitment to each and every one of them. It was a wonderful experience for them. She was a force of nature and nothing was too big for her.

memories of meeting her many times over the years.Unfortunately I was away for funeral,will keep Jean in my prayers.

I knew Jean from our days in Wexford Drama Group in the 1970s and 80s and also from running the "shop" at Carne Beach for the SVP.
She was such a vibrant person,she was a talented actress and great company.

I was saddened to hear of the death of Jean. I remember her arriving many years ago to the Brigidine Convent Tullow to teach speech and drama. She cut quite a dash with her beautiful poise and elegance. May Jean rest in heavenly peace.

Jean was my friend for over 50 years. We taught in Presentation Secondary School, I was the first lay teacher and Jean the first drama teacher. Her dedication to her subject knew no bounds and she frequently appealed for students to be released from other subjects as a performance drew near. Her students rejoiced at an opportunity to skip Maths and rehearse a play instead! After retirement January and February in Montemar were great fun, making international friends, many of whom have expressed their sadness at her illness. I have been missing the real Jean since covid as have all who loved her. May she sing and dance in heaven and may her family find comfort in their memories.

May you rest in peace Jean. You were a friend and mentor to me many moons ago and always encouraged me to shoot for the stars. Thank you x
