Jean & Charlie were the 1st people we met when we moved to Rathdrum in 1992. Our friendship built over the years and we enjoyed many wonderful times together.

Jean is now with her beloved Charlie. Rest in Peace Jean🙏

So very sorry to hear of Jean's passing, the last time I met her was some years ago while walking on the pier in Wicklow...she remembered me immediately but hadn't seen me since I was about 12. Very fond memories of Jean and Charlie, our next door neighbours in Rathdrum...they were such lovely people. Deepest sympathy to JeanMarie, Cathal and Mairead. We remember Jean with the greatest fondness, as we do Charlie. We think of all the great times we had, walking, talking, playing cards etc etc. Jeans hospitality and friendship were second to none. She was one of the most genuine people you could ever meet, and as Cathal said there was not one bad bone in her body. Her gentleness, sense of enjoyment and fun, and friendliness were attributes she shared with Charlie. Her passing will leave a void in your hearts for a long time to come. Rest in peace Jean. You will be missed.

Jean leaves a legacy of Love for you all and is now finally reunited happily with her beloved Charlie. Jean and Charlie were the kindest warmest and most humorous friends to my late parents, Maura and Owen, and the days we spent in their company in Rathdrum were the happiest of times. I was so honoured to spend some time with Jean two weeks ago and to thank her for her friendship, one which started over 50 years ago as Jean and Maura met as colleagues in Dublin Castle. As a family, we were so blessed to have known Jean and Charlie. Sleep well, dearest Jean x
