Todays life bears little resemblance to the way Jean's began. Her long distinguished teaching career along with her contribution to social and cultural groups filled a life of admirable achievement.
She always spoke warmly of her parents and family. The following generations were very much on her radar receiving much love, good advice and direction.

Sincere condolences to all the family of Miss Murphy. She was my First Holy Communion teacher in St Patrick's back in 1987. Memories of a school class Christmas concert in front of parents and a trip to Faughert in Dundalk to see where St Bridget had her convent, she always said she should be treated like St Patrick having a day off and fitting she saw this come in her life. Always when lived in Drogheda out for a walk would never pass by without a good chat. Another good person now in heaven and May Jean Rest In Eternal Peace
