Dear Denis and family, I just heard a few moments ago of Jean’s passing. I had not known she was ill and had been hoping to see her this summer when I come home. I have very fond memories of our time teaching together, her friendship all down through the years, the many laughs we shared and of course my last visit to your home a couple of years ago.

I would like to offer my deepest condolences to Jean’s family. Jean taught me Irish and PE many years ago in the Mercy. I always enjoyed meeting Jean over the years since leaving school and she always showed an interest into how you were getting on.

I worked with Jean in the Ard Scoil in the early 1990s and was also a member of Dungarvan Musical And Choral Society. Jean was always very kind, welcoming and had a really positive outlook on life.
