We received the news with absolute disbelief. So young, he departed!

I played with Jeff, coached him, toured with him, drank and sang/crooned with him & laughed with "the lovely Jeffrey". From his idol Tony Bennett & the Bohemian Rhapsody touring choir, Jeff was also front and center and leading the craic. Always a friend.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I never met Jeff, however, I heard him speak in Dublin. He was fearless. His courageous and selfless leadership, his love of freedom, the Irish nation, our history, and our people, inspired so many of us by example. He was one of our own, way too young, and this loss is very, very hard.

Thank you for sharing Jeff with us so selflessly in these most troubling of times. You must be so proud of the outpouring of love and respect for him. We will never forget him, and we will carry on.

My deepest condolences to all of Jeff’s family and friends. I’ve great memories of Jeff in St David’s CBS in Artane, of bumping into him over the years and of him helping me in his store when I moved into my house. He was always a joy to be around. At his funeral in my original parish church it was by far the biggest turn out I’ve ever seen there for anyone and it was touching to see so many Tricolours. A fitting send off for a true Patriot and an authentic Nationalist. In recent years he instilled inspiration in a lot of us to never stop fighting with fortitude for what we love so deeply, passionately and dearly, our ancient and enchanting ancestral homeland Éire.
