Deepest sympathy to Dear Jenny’s sister and all her family she was a lovely lady. Rest in peace Jenny 🙏
I worked with Jenny at the Language Centre of Ireland, and I knew her as the author of the wonderful 'Encounter Ireland' and a very popular teacher. Later we realised that we were also neighbours, and we became great friends and shared funny stories and happy memories. She made me feel so valued every time I went to visit her with cakes and eggs over the past few years. I'm so sad that I didn't have or make more time to see her. Rest in peace my friend.
Hearing of Jenny’s passing, I have been leafing through her English language course book, Encounter Ireland, and find myself once again impressed by her personality shining through the pages, her wit & humour, her eloquence & unassuming erudition quietly evident throughout. No wonder, then, that she was adored by her students, and always a hugely popular presence in the LCI staffroom (or outside it with the smokers and even the non-smokers who joined her for the craic). She was invariably herself, a rebel in all the best ways, a woman who loved entertaining (in all senses of the word) and devoted to her lucky pooches. Ní bheidh a leithéid cosúil léi arís. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam.
I’ll always associate Jenny with her beloved dog.
Rest well Jenny and condolences to Jenny’s family.
Enjoyed the many years we worked together. You were always yourself and always kept me on my toes. ( I can hear you correcting me now for using the word "always" twice in the same sentence.)
Rest in Peace my dearest friend.
Rest in peace, Jenny, we'll miss you dearly, and many a chat and laughter with you. Susanne & Pat x
