Condolences to the Ambrose family during this very sad time. Jerry was a wonderful uncle to us. He brought my brothers and I to our first Munster Final in Thurles in 1982, Cork v Waterford. He went to many more matches with our father and us, memories we will always cherish. May he rest in eternal peace.

Saddened to learn of the passing of Jerry. I had become accustomed to meeting Jerry after 09.15 Mass in Mallow every morning, always in the company of his great friend Sean Ryan. Jerry was a softly spoken, pleasant gentleman and will, undoubtedly, be a tremendous loss to his immediate and extended family and I extend my sincere condolences to his loved ones. Catherine and l extend to Trish,Melissa,Katherine,Patrick,
Suzanne, and Siobhan our sincerest sympathy. I developed a great friendship with Jerry over the years and we chatted every morning after
The 9 15 mass.He was always smiling, like myself either happy or sad depending on how Cork got in their latest game,he watched every game on his laptop either in Sydney or Dromahane. He always had his day mapped out which was either painting, weeding, cutting back hedges or timber.I don't think l ever met someone whose faith was so strong. He was up early walking the farm and meditating. The weather sometimes got to him and how he embraced the sun and a few hours on the deckchair in the sunny evenings.
Jerry's arrival every year herald the beginning of summer and we went for breakfast in the Hi B his departing marked the end of summer
I dropped him to train the evening he left almost 10 weeks ago ,l knew he was unwell but was confident that with the best care when he got home he would bounce back .We discussed what month he would be coming in 2026,sadly now it won't be happening. Rest easy my dear Friend and l expect St Peter has already welcomed you
