It was with deep sadness we heard of Jerry"s sad and sudden passing. I have many happy memories of Jerry growing up in Minor Row. It was always a pleasure to meet and have a chat with him on our visits back to Millstreet.

To Catherine who penned such a very poignant poem, Marie his perfect partner in life, extended family and friends on the sad occasion of Jerry's passing.

Such a character can never be replaced, but his kind and natural way with people will always be fondly remembered.

He has left behind a wonderful family and legacy of lifelong community work, brightening the day of all he met.

He had time for everyone, the gift of leaving them that little bit happier after each encounter.

His work to commemorate all those who fought to provide the nation we enjoy today was constant and commendable.

Jerry shall be missed by the whole community, especially his quick wit and somehow always managing to deliver the parting words of wisdom in every conversation!

He will live long in the town's memory, a life to be celebrated. Sleep well and rest in peace Jerry.
