It was a beautiful mass. It was a lovely tribute to a lovely man. Sorry we could not be there in person in these strange times. But we were with you in spirit and watched live tv. Regards to all the family.

Jerry was my godfather and though I had not had as much contact with him as I would have liked over the years I was very glad to have seen him last August on a trip back to Ireland from South Africa. He, Cormac and I spent an afternoon sitting in his garden. He was a great friend to my father who first met him in 1950, was his best man and a lifelong friend. He will be fondly remembered for his both his humour and insight.

Jerry was a lovely man...an absolute gent! My sincere condolences to all.
