Jeremiah (Jerry) Savage

My deepest condolences to all of Jerry’s family and loved ones. I was very sorry to hear of his passing. Jerry was one of life’s irreplaceable characters. Some of my fondest and funniest memories as a younger person in Tarbert were going to Savage’s Bar for the chat, banter, craic, and singalong. The Millennium New Year’s Eve celebrations in Jerry’s in 1999 were particularly memorable. God bless Jerry. Thanks for all the laughs and great conversations. May he rest in peace alongside his beloved Joan.

Played 41 in his pub many years ago, in later years he was a great poker player we had great poker nights in Carmody's pub. Jerry was great to travel annually to Knock on the yearly pilgrimage.
