Jerome Lombardo

When I went to Cork, Jerome and I hit it off immediately. His fantastic sense of humor and authentic smile was all it took.

I know if I lived there, I would have spent too much time in the local pubs with him and Heber. But would have been worth every moment.

Since then, when ever we had a call or time to discuss things about work, he would always end by saying “Next time you are here, the first round is on me”.

Well my friend, now I will say it for you. Next time I see you, the first round is on me.

Jerome is kind, funny and a great team member to work with. We never met each other in person but we had a lot of chances working together. His contributions to our team will never be forgotten. His laughter, kindness, and warmth will be dearly missed. May he rest in peace.

I'll never forget the day I met Jerome. I was conducting interviews for a French speaker for a new program we needed to support. It was a video interview, and the meeting room I was in had lights on motion sensors that would turn off after five minutes of no movement. To keep them on, I had to raise my hands or wave every few minutes. Jerome must have thought, "What an odd thing to do," but in true Jerome form, he didn't bat an eye and stayed focused throughout the interview.

As we talked, he shared how he was driven by curiosity—how he loved to take things apart just to understand how they worked. That kind of innate curiosity isn’t something you can teach; it’s a rare and valuable trait. From that moment, I knew Jerome was a gem. He was honest yet kind, never complained, funny, and was always eager to help the team. It was an honor to have him be part of the team. He is deeply missed.

Jerome was truly an incredible person, and it was a privilege to work with him every day. His presence brought so much warmth and joy, and I’ll deeply miss our conversations about his garden and the weather in Cork.

To Jerome’s family and friends, my condolences. Jerome was a wonderful person that I am so glad I had the pleasure of knowing and working with. He was one of the people that trained me when I came over to this team, and had a big impact on my life. He was someone I talked to every day and we’d always joke that one day we’d meet in person so I could take him for a beer since he answered the hundreds of questions I always had. The world has truly lost an incredible person. He will forever be missed, and I am sad I never got to actually meet him in person. Even though he is gone, he will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace and the beautiful memories he has left will never be forgotten. Thank you Jerome for being a beautiful presence on this earth and positively impacting so many people’s lives.

I'd like to express my deepest condolences to Jerome's family and friends. I loved working with Jerome because he was knowledgeable, friendly, kind and always pleasant to talk to. Despite the distance between us, he was a great friend and I only wish we lived closer so we could have spent more time together.

My sincere condolences to all of Jerome’s family and friends especially his parents. I never met Jerome but he was our tenant in my husband’s family home. He was a wonderful tenant. I am extremely sad he has left this world so young and so suddenly. If I can be of any assistance to his family while here in Ireland do not hesitate to contact me.
