I was so sad to hear the news about your Dad. I send you and the entire family my warmest sympathy. He was a wonderful man and will be sadly missed. I have very fond and happy memories of both your Mam (my first cousin) and your Dad when I was growing up. On their many visits to Graiguenamanagh with you all, they would always visit my Mam and Dad (Lizzie and Andy Clancy) in Kilkenny. I too remember happy times when we visited you in The Curragh. It was with great sorrow that I learned of the death of (Sgt) Jerry Ryan friend of many years.
We served together in the Supply and Transport Corps, and Corps School in the 1970’s.
Jerry was a superb technician and he trained many generations of apprentices who had the good fortune to come under his influence. Jerry was always helpful and pleasant in his dealings with people. My condolences to Jerry's family and many friends in the Curragh and Newbridge.
