Jillian White

Jillian will always be remembered for her strength of character, her perseverance, but more so in my mind, her acceptance in the final months of life and her love of family & friends. The quite but solid support from Declan was a lifeline to Jillian, who spoke openly about their unitedness. May Jillian rest in peace.

Jill was my best friend, confidante & in latter years, a colleague. I will miss her honesty, her counsel, her flair for home staging & on a selfish level, her unfailing ability to bolster me. Not to mention how much fun we had together, there were a couple of "walks of shame" post nights out & the very occasional lunch that became a night out! Her bravery in the face of absolute adversity, her dignity right to the end & her selfless consideration for others will stay with me forever. Jill has left us all way too soon but it has been an absolute privilege to have had 15 years of friendship with her, I will cherish our memories together always.

Jill was an amazing mother, wife, friend, teacher, problem-solver, cook, hostess, animal rescuer, font of knowledge on most levels, and full of goodness & kindness. My heart is broken for Dec, Tara & Katie, I hope the resilience Jill has instilled in you in the last few years will help as you navigate life without her, she will always be with you.

Sending condolences to Declan, Tara and Katie on the loss of your amazing mum and wife. I always looked forward to seeing Jillian on her inpatient stays in St Mary’s in the Bons, she loved a chat and was such an attentive listener, always remembering tiny details and offering great advice. I recall having a lovely conversation with her about what her spirit would return as when she passed away, and considering she has a tiny little ladybug tattoo, I suggested a ladybug ! and I think she was definitely considering it as she told me, ‘birds are overrated!’ . When I see a ladybug from now on I will always think of her, rest in peace sweet Jillian.
