I have great memories of Jim from a young age when he was my camogie trainer with Kilmore GAA & Camogie Club on Saturday mornings behind St. John of God’s NS. He was so generous with his time, sharing his hurling skills and very encouraging to everyone, good, bad or indifferent. He also had a brilliant sense of humour - one of my favourites was whenever I would let him know that I couldn’t make the next practice or match, and he would always reply « Ah you’re just trying to cheer me up!!! »
