Condolences to all who knew Jim. May he rest in peace
Deepest sympathy from Bee Guinan and family, Coosan
Sincere sympathy to Jim's family on your sad loss. Jim was a man of many talents and interests. I got to know him through the Athlone Film Society, back in the early 1980s. I was in awe of his knowledge of world cinema and his technical skills. He helped me develop a love of cinema which endures to this day. Thank you Jim, rest in peace.
My deepest, heartfelt sympathies are with Di, Sarah, David, Micheál and Mary. It was a pleasure to know Jim, and an honour to be able to call him family.

I have fond memories of picking daffodils and feeding the goats in Fardrum as a child. When I started in UCD eight years ago Jim told me great stories about when he was a student there in the 70s. Thank you for the endless kindness and humour.

Jim will be so sorely missed, but his memory never forgotten. Fágann saol maith ina dhiaidh oidhreacht álainn.
The entirety of my love to you all.
Thank you for the memories.. I am a professional at standing in gaps and herding cow since a young age, because of your training. Not many can add that skill to a cv. Still waiting for you to arrive into Mary’s for tea. Your funeral was a great celebration of your life we laughed and cried so many times, everyone we met had a story to tell of how you touched their life.
RIP Uncle Jim
Dear Sarah and family. We are so sorry for your loss. Your family was always so strong and adventurous and loving. We hope that you keep that going even after this big loss. Big hugs from us to all of you.
Sincere condolences from the whole MacBride clan here in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. I was fortunate enough to meet Jim on several occasions in Thailand. An absolute Gent whom I was lucky enough to enjoy some memorable dives with…

Thoughts are with you all at this sad time. Love & Regards, The MacBrides Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
To the Campbell-Flinn family, my deepest sympathy for the passing of Jim, a beautiful soul, may he rest with the angels
Rest in peace Jim,your kindness will never be forgotten, thank you for every piece of advice every time we had a problem, thank you for helping us looking for the right house, for all the funny jokes every week .Great memories of you sharing some lovely stories and a very proud husband , father and grandad.
It was a privilege to have known you.
My heart is with you Di, Sarah, David , Michael, Finley and Mary.
We had the pleasure of finally meeting Jim through one of the many dive expo's held in Athlone.

We were representing Sairee Cottage Diving, Koh Tao, Thailand. A far cry from the normal exhibits there that weekend, but through Sarah, we had the warmest welcome and were held in the highest regard!

Even though we only got to know Jim over these few short days, it was clear his influence of diving and his love for the sea had been passed on lovingly to Sarah - someone she clearly held in the highest regard, and rightfully so!

Our encounter may have been brief, but your love of diving brought us together - and for that, we will be eternally grateful.

RIP Jim

Conor and Kerrie Ann xXx
