Really sorry to hear of the sad passing of dear Jim. A wonderful friend and neighbour who was , thankfully, part of our lives for all of our lives from directing traffic for our parents funeral to helping us lift a wardrobe up stairs.
He was always there for us.

I knew Jim at different times as Shane, Mr. Jiggs and the Boss Man. It was he who gave Dogleaf Park its name after Abbeyside soccer club moved in there in 1965, exactly 60 years ago. I wouldn't like to estimate how many pints he served me since then! An absolute Abbeyside legend. Condolences to Denis, Breda, Brian and Kay. Thanks for everything, Jim, and all the best.

Great memories of Jim tearing around the village on his bike. His catchphrase greeting of "humbolalatchee" greeted one and all with a warm smile, and a wave of the hand.
His ability to tend O'Connors bar was legendary, and on returning home, to be greeted by the Boss with a nod, and pint pulled, and a quiet " Welcome Home" was priceless.
