Dear Paddy & The Fingleton Family,

I am deeply saddened to hear of Jim’s passing and want to extend our heartfelt condolences to you all during this difficult time. Jim always stopped me to say, "Hello, young Dalton," whenever we met in town. His kindness and warmth will always be remembered.

I was so very sad to hear of Jim’s passing. My father and I met Jim a number of years ago through a professional project and I’ve had dealings with him down through the years. I can honestly say he was one of the nicest, most genuine people I have met. Sincere condolences to his family.

Deepest condolences to Liz,Anna Stephen Louise Patrick Ciara, grandchildren Ella, Florence and the extended Fingleton family.Jim was a great role model as a family man, a friend, and an auctioneer who had an unrivalled sense of humour.I loved hearing his stories of growing up in Nicholastown, running a book in Knockbeg, and all the great adventures with his family, friends, siblings,and parents.Jim was an honourable man so generous and kind with his time and consideration to all who knew him, but especially a great family man.He touched us all with his great sense of fun and laughter.Rest in peace Jim you were a larger -than -life character and a gentleman on and off the rostrum .We all miss him and will never forget him.Requiescat in pace Jim.
