Jim Hayde

I knew Jim for over 25 years, the respect and friendship for him only ever increased. He was a special person who treated everyone as equals and always had words of support especially in difficult times.
Geraldine and I hope that the happy times he shared with Miriam, David and Matthew will help them to bear his loss. Jim rest in peace old friend.

My sincere condolences to the Hayden family, friends but also the many work colleagues who were privileged to have worked with Jim over the years. He was a giant of a man in the industry and hard to believe he has left us. Did not take fools lightly and had tremendous vision in getting tough projects over the line. He was the best project manager I ever had the privilege of working for, tough but fair and loyal to his staff. Did not take fools lightly.

Uncle Jim was someone that always brought humor and warmth to any room he entered. I have fond memories from when he—and you all—would visit us in CA when I was younger. My fondest memories of Jim go back to when we worked together on the APC Project in Jordan. In the evenings at the township after a hard and hot day’s work when we all relaxed with a long cold beer, Jim would unwind and entertain us all with his many stories and jokes and even on occasions his guitar playing. In time his taste in music (Leonard Cohan, if my memory is correct) started to grow on me.
Truly the good old days.
