Jim Mc Mahon was our National and International Transport Manager for two decades.
Jim unbelievably supplied us with a truck and 40ft trailer unit to carry thousands of bikes and luggage all over Europe- most significantly he refused to take money for diesel - what a magnificent man and gesture,outstanding.
The National Council for the Blind of Ireland now known as Vision Ireland will never forget Jim Mc Mahon's outstanding contribution- Jim and his co driver Mark Tobin his friend drove thousands of miles with great care and efficiency to the four corners of Ireland and Europe!

Personally his loyalty and hand of friendship to the cause and me.... I will be forever grateful.

Finally what a great character on tour, everyone loved Jim dearly...and on the odd occasion Catherine joined Jim on the truck - a wonderful lady.
Rest in peace now Jim u will be remembered as a very,very special good man!
Sadly for Alma and I due to circumstances we are unable to attend...your in our hearts Jim xxx

I met Jim many years ago when he was a patient in the Cottage hospital.
A gentleman, lots fun and always had time for a chat when I would meet him in Duleek.
