Like so many, I was shocked to hear of the sudden passing of Jimmy.
Great memories of time spent around the terrace when we were young.
Jimmy was a likeable rogue with the gift of the gab.
For a fella who was born on fool's day, he knew how to succeed in life.
I stayed with him one time in San Fran during the world cup of '94 and he insisted on bringing me to a basketball session with his buddies. He ran the show, took all the shots and called all the fouls.
Deepest sympathies to his wife and children and to his extended family and friends at home and abroad.

I knew Jim from growing up together back in Cork. I am privileged that I can say he was a friend and that we had many an adventure together. I was so grateful along with a few other lads we managed to tie up during his visit to Cork in early January. Little did we know that would be our last meeting. As always Jim was the life and soul of the night as we shared stories from days gone by. Whenever I met Jim he always had the happy side out. God bless buddy you will always be in our thoughts and prayers.
