Jim was one of life’s great characters - a true force of nature and a legend in the locality. I remember his passions included live music sessions, shooting, fishing, regaling/spinning yarns and cutting timber with his many chainsaws. He was a constant friend and companion to our family throughout our lives in Ballinafid. He is sadly a great loss to all who cherished him. My sympathies to his wife Frances, his son Tom and all his extended family. Rest peacefully Jim.
