Jim MONGEY

Very sad to learn of Jim's death, RIP. Sincere sympathies to Caitriona and the Mongey family. Worked in a team led by Jim in 1999-2000, a time I look back upon fondly. He had such a positive and enthusiastic attitude to work, and a great sense of fun. It's no surprise that he will be sadly missed by so many. Kevin O'Rourke (ex Enterprise Ireland etc.)

My sincerest sympathy to Caitriona and all Jim's family. We first met when I was Charge d'Affaires in Tehran in the 1980s where Jim and his colleagues were most welcome visitors on occasions such as the Tehran Trade Fair. We were to meet again thirty years later when I was posted to Saudi Arabia which he covered from Dubai. He was a most supportive and ever cheerful colleague during his frequent visits to Riyadh. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.

Sincere condolences to Catriona and the Mongey family, Jim was a wonderful colleague. I got to know him during the Prague years; he was an endless source of advice, stories and fun. Rest in peace Jim.

Jim was a loyal friend and colleague in CTT. As well as being passionate about his work, he had a great sense of humour; he was a founding member of our University of Life in the Merrion Inn! He was a strong influence on my decision to transfer to Toronto in the early eighties. Little did either of us think then that I would not return. My sincere sympathy to his wife and family; you have lost a very special man.

My deepest sympathies to Catriona and all Jim's family. I reported to Jim in early 1980's in the halcyon days of the Irish Export Agency part of CTT covering North Africa and the Middle East. He was amazingly enthusiastic, supportive and admired by our customers and colleagues alike. It was a real privilege to work under him.
It was great catching up with him after a long absence in Doheny & Nesbitt in Dublin more recently until Covid put an end to it. The group of friends who regularly showed up shows the esteem in which he was held. We will miss him and share the family's loss. Michael ex CTT and now Kerry Gp.
