Our sincere sympathy Sarah, Diarmuid and Edel and all the family. Apart from being a wonderful GAA club man Jim was a central figure in the reroofing and refurbishment of Ballinaclough Church. Our dad often spoke of Jim in glowing terms and recounted how he assisted in the rescue of the baptismal font. Jim was a gentleman. Sarah we are so sorry to hear of the passing of your dearest Jim.
Mam & Dad (Paddy & Helen Cahill, Ballyroan) treasured the great friendship they shared with you & Jim over many years. I still recall the huge comfort Dad got from your visit during Mam's funeral as he knew how highly Mam, and himself, valued the special friendship you shared.

I have lifelong happy memories of Jim, from his early years walking across the fields from Boultheeny to Lissenhall school, to his heroic captaincy of the 'Mines winning team in 1974 and more recent casual encounters.
