My sincere condolences to Jim's wife and family. Jim taught me in St Joseph's Secondary School circa 1970.
Loved his patience and calmness. I remember the day we robbed bicycles from the Shed and rode out to his house to see where he lived. I dont think he reported us to the Nuns. He taught us Netball and it was the highlight of my days there.
Fondly remembered and thanks for being a great Teacher.
May Jim Rest in Peace.

So sorry to hear of Jim's passing RIP. He taught me Civics and PE. I remember asking him to help us in the Youth Club. He helped us organise a sponsored walk to raise money to do up the old Tennis courts. He marked them and got 2 second hand nets. We had some great tournaments. Thank you Jim. RIP.
So sad to hear you are gone, Jim. Many a great memory from St Joseph's . A great teacher and character. I remember the days when you used to come into class not noticing that you would have 2 different coloured socks. Condolences to your family. Rest in peace.
Deepest sympathy to the O Connor family RIP.
Rip Jim my dear school teacher a gentle man ur work is done rest in peace
Sincere condolences to the O’ Connor family on Jim’s passing. I have fond memories of his tireless, Herculean and enthusiastic efforts to instill a love of Shakespeare, poetry and prose in those of us who weren’t quite as enthusiastic about the subject matter in St. Joseph’s. His endless patience and classic wit were sorely tested but he retained his quiet gentlemanly composure at all times. May he enjoy his eternal reward in Heaven. Sinéad F. Class of 89
