So sad to hear that Jimmy passed away. My brother Sean O’Brien and Jimmy were good friends back in the mid and late fifties.Everyone loved Jimmy and I have so many fond memories of him, not the least of which was when he,, Sean and I climbed Croagh Patrick together in 1956 or maybe ‘57.I also remember several of us local youngsters,coming home from Keaveneys dance hall on our bikes very late at night. Jimmy in his amazing singing voice would sing at the top of his lungs and yodel like Slim Whitman.I treasure those memories . I am so glad that I got to visit Jimmy last year while I was in Ireland. It had been more than 60 years since we last met. We reminisced and laughed and maybe cried a little too as we spoke fondly of our friends from those carefree days of our youth who had already passed on. My prayer for Jimmy is that Jesus met him and said “ well done good and faithful servant “ and then handed him a guitar and said come right in your buddies have been waiting for you to sing for them a couple of their favorite songs. Rest in peace dear Jimmy
