I had the pleasure of knowing Jimmy for most of my life and he was a great friend to Tommy and me down through the years. In fact, we were married the same year. I really appreciate the huge effort he made to attend Tommy's funeral in July 2023. I'm glad I was able to spend the time talking to him that day. I only wish that I was able to attend his funeral myself. I'll keep you all in my prayers.

Shay so sorry to hear about your Dad. Thinking of you and all your family at this sad time

From across the way in Vancouver, Canada, we pass along our sincere condolences to all the Heneghan family in the passing of Jim. Bless his soul as he makes his new home in heaven. I still speak fondly of the memories made each time I visited Castlebar. I always stopped in to see Jim - Mary and his family of two sons and three daughters. Being the guiding father figure he was and continuing with Mary Moore Heneghan, they coparented five spirited and brilliant children to adulthood.
After gallivanting around the world I brought my wife Debbie for her first visit to my Irish relatives. Those were lively times especially the wedding. How could we not attend to see Jim all radiant as a proud Dad overseeing Shay and Elaine as a king would be in the castle. It was at the wedding where he took joy in introducing us to everyone as relatives from Canada. He was that kind of person who wanted people to know each other and a little about them. I think cousin Patricia took that quality on and collected pictures of the families here and there. In likeness we will always have a picture of Uncle Jim to remind us of our trips to Castlebar.
