Jimmy was a great pal of my dad Tony King and my mother Isabel. A genuine person and always very kind to us when we were kids. Just a good person.

I’ve just heard of Jimmy’s passing. So sad to hear this awful news. Had we known, my sister Sue and I would have flown over for the funeral. I remember Jimmy staying with us in London when he was still very young. My mum (his aunty Ciss) thought the world of him. Condolences to all the Higgins family. RIP Jimmy.

So so sorry to hear of Jimmy’s passing. We worked together in the Ambulance Service James street. I have many great memories of that time. Always a pleasure to work with Jimmy never a dull moment , one of a kind.

Jimmy was not only a wonderful neighbour over the last 30 years, but a wonderful, kind, generous and humble friend. Jimmy had a wonderful sense of humour and was a great character. His love of his time in the ambulance service and his family was second to none. I almost felt I was at some of the ambulance calls from Jimmy's recitement of the stories. He loved his family like no other and always spoke so highly of them. May he rest in peace now with Sheila and Neville. You fought the fight Jimmy, rest easy now and know that you will be sorely missed.
