Truly saddened and shocked by Jimmy's untimely passing.
I have very fond memories of working alongside JK in Aungier Street. We had some laugh over the years. He was so funny and often without even realising it. His one liners were the best.
I will treasure those momories dearly.
He had such a heart of gold and really was a gentle giant. My heart goes out to his beloved Sharon, Dean and Lauren. His family were his world and his love for them could be seen as clear as day.
When he used to sneak out to buy chocolate to eat after Sharon lovingly made him healthy lunches he'd often say don't ever tell her :) but I think his love of chocolate was no secret and we all knew his vice no matter how hard he tried to hide it. He truly loved his grub. We can laugh now thinking about all the times a lunch or sandwich would go missing from the fridge. He was our fridge bandit.
Deepest sympathy to Sharon , Dean and Lauren and his extended family at this very sad time. Thoughts are with you all
RIP the bear and thank you for the many belly laughs xxxx

My deepest condolences to Sharon, Dean and Lauren and to that wide circle of family and friends of Jimmy. I never met Dean or Lauren but I felt I did as Jimmy kept me up to date with their progress over the years. He was enormously proud and loving – of his family and his people in Ringsend. Chatting with him was always a bright spot in the day – and the porters’ desk in Aungier St. was the place to be – the banter was top class – and Jimmy usually happily at the centre of it. What a lovely man – I really miss him and trips back home, with a stop in Aungier St., will never be the same.
— Joe Dennehy
