Deepest sympathy to Dara and to your family on the death of Jimmy. I first met Jim (as he was known to staff) when I started my first job in Lenehans in Capel Street in the late sixties. It was a great place to work and I actually met my husband - Pat - while we were both working there. Around that time Jim would have taken over the running of the business from his father. Jim was very involved on the Capel Street Traders association and was instigatory in organising the
Annual Capel Street Traders Ball. There was a very friendly atmosphere in the company and I think management sometimes turned a blind to some of the escapades that occurred. Great memories. May Jimmy rest in peace
— Pat and Maura Norton nee Daly

He was a great mentor and friend in my early career when we served on the board of The Children's Hospital in Temple St. His advice was always sound and he had a wealth of experience to share - and his infectious laugh and sense of fun made meetings better, no matter how challenging the agenda was. What a lovely and fitting tribute to him and you all, his family, at today's Mass. May Jimmy rest in peace.
