Condolences to Jimmy’s family and many friends. We were lucky to have many great teachers while at the AVS. Jimmy was right up there as a teacher and mentor. Every community needs people that hold it together; Jimmy was reliably one who held things together.

As well as being our neighbour in Main Street, Jimmy taught me maths in St Brigids Secondary School Tuam, I remember him as a gifted teacher, a thorough gentleman and an extremely gentle soul.
