Sincere sympathy to the extended Conway family on the death of JJ. He was a talented musician and a great asset to the Tulla Céilí Band. Despite his talent, he was humble, witty and great company. I always looked forward to meeting him with his infectious sense of humour and lore of tunes and stories. A warm hearted man. JJ was particularly kind and encouraging to my grand-children and any visiting musician. He always brightened up a session and kept an eye out for the shy and reluctant musician. JJ was universally admired by the traditional music fraternity and will be remembered by all who knew him and played with him.
He will be sadly missed.

JJ was an ever-present figure in our lives. He brought me to my first film 45 years ago at the Burren Cinema. We spent countless journies in his car where his only mission was making me laugh the entire journey to Ennis.
His generosity toward my mother, bringing her to funerals, shopping, etc went way beyond being her nearest neighbor. He still checked in on her right up to recent times.
Rest in peace, JJ.

The cousin of my mother. I first met him at the farm in 1949 at the age of 4 ! A musician well known throughout Clare and beyond. A kind and gentle man. A wonderful sense of humour too. Yet humble - but with nothing to be humble about. A loss to his family and to Clare. I am proud to be a relative.

We are all so very sorry to hear about JJ's passing. He played many times with the Tulla Ceili band at the Claddagh Hall. He was a great musician and a gentleman. We had many a good laugh with him. Condolences to all his family. May you rest in peace JJ.
