I have just heard the sad news of Joan's death.
I will miss the wonderful stories about her interesting & varied life in the many places where she lived. We had great chats about New York & I'm so sorry that she didn't have the opportunity to make a return visit there.
All your friends in Dun Laoghaire Meals on Wheels will miss you Joan.
Rest in Peace.

Dear George,
Please accept my deepest sympathy on the occasion of Joan's death.
It's strange to think about how meeting one person, can change the course of your life. For me, Joan was such a person. Brain gave me Joan's contact information when I came to the USA in 1970. She helped me, and my friend Detta get an apartment in her building on 2nd Av.. and introduced me to her friend Frank, who later became my husband, and father to my three children. Joan and I lost touch, but her impact on my life, and her kindness to me was never forgotten.
May she she rest in peace, and may we all be united in a blessed eternity.
