Joan and I were colleagues in CII from very early on in Ely Place. We kept in touch over the years and now I am sad that she is gone. She was well looked after and lived her life as she wanted until she needed more. I know she is happy and joining all her friends in the Childen of Mary.
So sorry to hear of Aunt Joan’s passing. The first time my brother Sean and I visited Dublin, she spent the entire day walking the city with us sharing the city and Barry family histories. I will never forget that day, the generosity of her time, her passion, and her wit.
Deepest sympathy to Joan's family. She was a wonderful neighbour and was always happy to stop for a chat. She was very proud of her country roots. Rest in peace Joan 🙏
We were saddened to hear of Joans passing this week and have really missed her from Parkmore Drive the past two years. She always had a friendly wave and was a pleasure to chat to and know. Sincere condolences to the Barry Family.
I offer my sincere sympathy to Joan's extended family. I remember Joan with great affection from my years working with her in the Confederation of Irish Industry [now Ibec], and later from meeting at occasional lunches for retirees. She was a good person in every sense of that word, and I know that she now enjoys the life eternal for evermore. May Joan be remembered by all who knew her for the great work that she did in many aspects of life.
Joan was part of our family life for as long as I can remember, she brought a bit of Cork to our Dublin home. Rest in peace, Joan, we will always remember your kindness.
Love from Pauline and Gabriel.

Deepest sympathy to Kevin & the extended Barry families on the death of your aunt Joan. RIP
We were so sorry to hear of Joan’s death. She was a wonderful next-door-neighbour and herself and my mum looked out hugely for each other in latter years (a great comfort to us). We so enjoyed her quick, dry wit, her individual take on matters, and her occasional sharp tongue! We always left any interaction with Joan with a smile on our faces. We have great memories of Joan dancing at all our weddings or enjoying a (small) tipple at Christmas dinners in latter years. Parkmore Drive hasn’t been the same without her. Ní bheidh a leithéid ann arís. RIP Joan
Deepest sympathy on the death of Joan. She was a life long member of the Legion of Mary in Coronata and Immaculata Curiae. She visited many Spanish speaking countries for the legion and I am sure our Blessed Mother Mary will welcome her into her heavenly home. May Joan's gentle soul rest in peace. Amen.
