Thinking of Helen, Barbara & Peter at this sad time. Some memories of Auntie Joan are...of her bringing us Cadbury's Caramel bars whenever she visited Granny's house - she knew what was important to us!! And in later years, she joined us for many family occasions in Navan and Drogheda - not to mention her thoughtful gifts when the babies were born.
Rest in peace Auntie Joan x

I am one of the fortunate people, who got to meet Joan. A thoughtful, kind person, who always had a nice word to say, or an encouragement to send. A generous person who lifts others, a friend. I lost a friend, but Joan is watching us from Heaven with a motherly smile, knowing that she was able to touch and help the life of so many! Rest in peace, Joan!
Thinking of u Helen and all the family - and our times with Joan in Saxone (where she taught me alot about discipline!) and the beautiful pink cardigan she knitted for our baby daughter - may she rest in peace with your dad and her other loved ones 💚

Our condolences to you Helen and your extended family on the passing of your Mum Joan. You always spoke to me so glowingly of how your mum was advancing in years but so healthy and independent. While death is always so sad when it comes, your mum’s passing can also be a celebration of a life well lived. As you grieve Helen along with family may your Mum rest in peace.
So sad to hear of Joan’s passing. We always had a lovely chat when we met at the Surgery and my late Mam Eileen always enjoyed her company in the parish - may she rest in peace
