Deeply saddened to hear of the death of Joan Doherty Fallon. As a young teenager, I spent many wonderful hours in the Fallon home, regaled by the stories of Old Ballinasloe by Capt. Fallon, enjoyed home cooking by Mrs. Fallon and the company of Joan, Pat and Joe Jr. We swam in the River Suck on those pleasant summer days and delighted in the refreshments afterwards so generously offered by Mrs Fallon. They were simple and innocent times in those days, memories never forgotten—my sincere condolences to the Doherty family and Pat and Joe.

My sincerest sympathy and prayers on the passing of Joan to Don,Shuna,Cahir,Joe,Patt. I knew Joan when we were at St Raphael's in Loughrea.I lived with Gemma in Napa for many years and through that came to know the Fallon family. My mother enjoyed visits in Corgary, Mt Bellew from Joan and her father Joe Snr. where they had great political conversations.Una and the Whitcombs visited Napa.Joan has now joined and been welcomed by her family gone before her . I was very sorry to learn of Joan's death. We were friends from Applewood Heights days. She was a kind and loving person, with a great sense of humour and a naughty twinkle in her eye! I extend my sympathy to Don, Shuna , Cahir, and all the family on her loss. May she rest in peace

Joan was always a calming, loving, and devoted force in the lives she touched. In her presence you felt heard and appreciated. Those who knew her, or simply had just met her understood that they were in the presence of a special person.
Joan will be missed but her love of family and friends will remain with each of us. In her honor, we hope that the love and devotion she bestowed upon us can be emulated in the encounters we have with each other.

By name, I remember you, Don Doherty of Derry, since we were boarders together in St. Raphael's, Loughrea in the early sixties. Joan was a much loved kind and caring person. Was so sad to hear of Joan's passing. I have only the loveliest memories of her. As a child, she spoiled me with books and delighted me with laughter and kindness always. She was so much fun and joyful and will be sadly missed. RIP Joan. Thinking of Don and all the family.
