Auntie Joan, may you rest in peace alongside your partner in crime Alfie. You were a wonderful and warm woman, very funny and always fun to be around. I wish I saw more of you but I cherish the memories I do have such as your trips to London and when we all came to Donnybrook.

Condolences to all the family members on Joan’s passing a lovely lady.
It is with a heavy heart we carry with the news of Joan’s passing, so soon after her darling Alfie left us just over a few months ago. Those two were joined at the hip. A proper lovers loyalty story for the ages, waltzing through life together. Back in their Beaver Row days in Donnybrook, Joan was the spark of the place—a whirlwind of warmth and wit, her home an open door policy where laughter bounced off the walls and you never left without a story. She had a knack for brightening your day, whether she was out on her village rambles (I'm sure she worked in Wood's for a while), charming everyone with that twinkling smile.
Hopefully she is up there in the celestial twilight, reunited with her Alfie, the two of them kicking up their heels in a heavenly ballroom dance, probably teaching the angels a thing or two about a proper jive. May Joan, that beautiful soul, rest in eternal peace, with a grin as wide as the Liffey and Alfie by her side. Ar deis de go raibh a h'anam.
