I met Joan whilst we were both in Clontarf hospital last year. I got to know what a kind, caring and most of all witty & funny person she was. We were to meet up when it was safe. Myself & Marie (the three stooges we were in hospital) will let go of balloons very soon in Joan’s honour. I’m very glad our paths crossed, even briefly. May Joan rest in peace

I knew Joan from assisting with the Brancardier Group in Dublin Airport .So saddened to read of her death.She was a lovely person with a wicked sense of humour.Just what was needed when dealing with nervous invalids on their first trip to Lourdes. - she'd have everyone laughing. I remember Joan from my time in Holy Child Parish, 1981-1990. Joan was a lovely light for everyone, had a great sense of humour, was very caring in her work with the Monday night club for people with special needs. A joyous presence, she brought much fun to the lives of all whom she encountered. Rest contentedly in God's presence, Joan. My sincere sympathy to all her relatives.
