Billy, we were very saddened to hear of Joan's passing. As i watched the mass this morning I thought back to the first time I met Joan. I felt at ease from the start. She was warm, genuine, funny and great company. Yes she was a happy person. I also admired her strength.
I have such great memories from your visits to Canada and can only smile as I think back on them. Sending you warm hugs as you navigate the difficult road ahead. Keeping you and all of Joan's family in our thoughts and prayers.

We were so sad to learn of Joan's passing. I have so many fond memories of her, both in Ireland and from her visits to Canada over the years. She was a strong, funny, and caring person who loved her family very much. That was always evident, no matter how much time passed between visits.

Most of all, she was the perfect half of one of the most exemplary couples I have ever had the good fortune of knowing. She and Billy were a pair like no other. Today my heart goes out to him as he mourns her passing. We love you, Billy, and are sending every ounce of our love your way.

May you rest peacefully, Joan. We will miss you.
