Joan was a special friend and teaching partner We met in Broward county teaching at a school first yr of integration. We had special experiences and challenges. We shared the rewards and demands for 10 yrs. So happy to be at her wedding celebration to Pat. Over the yrs we visited and chatted enjoying our memories. Joan was an amazing woman and a consummate teacher. It was a honor to have her as a friend. My sympathy to her family. She loved sharing about her Irish family. Connie Dimich Carey.
