I was deeply saddened and shocked to hear of Joan's death. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to her husband Kim, Thomas and Hannah and Joan's extended family. Joan kindly gave me lifts home from the CPC and she spoke about her family so often, it was clear they meant the world to her.

Joan was always open for a chat, had a wonderful sense of humour and mischief and was so thoughtful and kind. My spirit was always lightened after a chat with Joan.

May her sweet and gentle soul rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear of Joan's death. I knew her years ago in Sion Hill and remember great fun and laughter always with her. My condolences to her family, especially Anne, Brian and Carol.

As a patient at Vincent’s Private Hospital, I only met Joan a few times, but she was so charming and friendly, she left a lasting impression. We had a few amusing phone calls and email exchanges and shared a love of chocolate. I was so sorry to hear of her sudden death and would like to send my sincere condolences to her family, friends and colleagues.

I am so sorry to hear of Joan’s passing. I remember her as always smiling and would always have time for a chat.

So shocked and saddened to return from a week away and hear the sad news of Joan's suddening passing. It was a pleasure always to interact with her, always so kind and professional and with a smile for all. She will be sorely missed in the CPC by patients and staff alike and I can only begin to imagine what a loss to her family and close friends this will be. May she rest in peace.

I’m so sorry to hear about the sudden passing of Joan. I worked with her in SVPH and she was always such a lovely, positive, chatty person. We had many a great chat on the steps of SVPH!!

It is very sad to hear of Joan’s sudden and untimely death. From days in Sion Hill to meeting her in recent years around Blackrock and Vincent’s, she had changed so little. Joan and I were friends from our days in Sion Hill junior and senior school. We dipped in and out of each other’s lives always catching up where we’d left off. The online Queen for awhile and best of all the occasional face to face lots of laughter & chat when I was visiting Dublin from London.
I’m so glad she told you her precious family that she loved the bones of you all as she certainly wasn’t shy about telling me! The service you gave dear Joan was a truly moving tribute and memorable as she was.

I am so saddened to learn of Joan's sudden death. I knew Joan in our Sion Hill days. She was a character! Always vibrant and funny but at the same time kind and empathic. So many wonderful memories of Joan.
