Sincere sympathy to Joan’s sons on her passing. Dear Joan and I became close friends when we both worked in Nenagh and I spent many happy weekends at her home in Bank Place. I attended her wedding and an example of her kindness was that she and John insisted on their giving me a lift home in their car as their honeymoon hotel was near where I lived. I moved abroad, returned, married, (Joan and John attended) moved to the U.K. and then returned to
Ireland.We met once again but life intervened and despite making many efforts it was only a year ago I was told that she was living in Northfields. Despite my good intentions, these remained unfulfilled. Rest in Peace Joan. you always had a special place my heart as you will have in my prayers.

William Andy John Eugene so very sorry to hear about your Mum. We have very many memories of good times with her as children growing up in Northfields. She was a great neighbour to all of us and a good friend to everyone . It was also always a pleasure to meet her in later years as adults -she had the same interest in all of us and our families as she had when we lived next door! I know her loss right now is sad and painful but in time the vast store of great memories of your mum will hopefully bring some comfort Rachel Suzanne Paul Judith and Kate Curran
