My deepest sympathies to all of Joan's family at this sad time. I was a member of Joan's staff in Natinal Parks Section, OPW, St. Stephen's Green many moons ago and remember her with great warmth and fondness. She was always encouraging and supportive and a great mentor.

Sincere condolences to you, Catherine, and all your family on your aunt Joan's passing. I just happen to see her death notice now. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I have such lovely memories of Joan's visits to my aunt's house in Dublin. They were both great friends and their frienship lasted a lifetime. Joan was great fun, she was a people person and age was no barrier to her. While Im really glad that I saw Joan recently, Im sorry I can't make it to her funeral tomorrow. May she rest in peace. Mary
