My deepest sympathy to you all. I knew Joan from Sandymount Bridge Club. Many of the Club members have registered their shock and sympathy on the old WhatsApp group. She was a great friend of my aunt, Maureen Diskin, who predeceased her. I am glad she was able to live life to the full until the very end. May she rest in peace.
What a lovely photo of Joan. I only met Joan more recently, at the bridge table in Railway Union. She was a mighty player but also great company. May she rest in peace.

Very sorry that we won't be able to be with you on Monday, Derek, Don & Brian. Technology permitting, we will join from California & will be thinking of you & your families at this difficult time. Your Mum, Joan, was a special person, a true lady, so generous of spirit & lived life to the full to the very end. We have made a donation to St. Matthew's church restoration fund in her honour in lieu of sending flowers, as requested.

On behalf of the committee and membership of the Civil Service Bridge Club, Heytesbury Street, Dublin 8 I would like to express my deepest condolences to Joan's family on her sudden passing. Joan was an excellent bridge player possessing a sharp mind and memory for the cards and a great opponent at the bridge table. She regularly outwitted her opponents to their detriment at the game and always had great results in any competition she participated in. She played in the Club up to recent times and she will be missed by the members. May she rest in peace.
Sincere condolences to Joan's family at this very sad time.

May she rest in peace.
